With the banning of organochlorines and subsequent introduction of much more environmentally friendly termite control agents in 1995, Termguard developed a range of reticulation options to meet the needs of the building industry.

Initially, the termguard Ultimate System was developed as a safe, effective and environmentally friendly method of delivering termiticides to the full under slab of a new building, providing maximum protection against subterranean termite infestation.

The Ultimate system conforms with the Australian Standards AS3660.1-1995, as called up by the Building Code of Australia 1996.

Termguard Perimeter and Penetrations Re-treatment Systems were then developed to meet on-going market demands from within the building industry and national and local government authorities for a more cost-effective option.

The system was purposely designed for the initial treatment and re-application of environmentally compatible termite control agents to the critical areas of the concrete underslab and perimeter, the areas termites are most likely to breach, when the effectiveness of the initial termite treatment has broken down.

The Perimeter and Penetrations Re- treatment System enables the replenishment of approved termite control agents to all service penetrations and external perimeters of slab-on-ground construction.

These systems are nationally certified by the Australian Building Codes Board (Certificate of Conformity 97/001) in compliance with the Building Code of Australia 1996.

In line with the company's on-going commitment to meeting the needs of builders through product development, the most recent system developed is the Perimeter Re-treatment and Armoured Shields System.

This cost-effective system provides effective physical protection to the plumbing penetrations with a patented PVC shield welded to the plumbing penetrations, in conjunction with high quality external perimeter piping around the house providing replenish able termite protection.

Both the Perimeter and Penetrations Re-treatment Systems, and the Perimeter Re-treatment and Armoured Shields Systems are installed in conjunction with the slab laid to AS2870-1996.
